This video inspired my blog post today :
Meeting new people is always a challenge, and that challenge often becomes impossible when the new person you want to meet is hopefully the love of your life.I often find myself asking myself “where is the perfect location for meeting boys?”
So I first started looking through internet to find some suggestions, here are some of them:
-Bars & Nightclubs: You know men will be knocking into you, touching you, crushing you …all night!! I sincerely don’t think you’ll get a perfect moment for opening a conversation. And let’s be honest, most men go clubbing to hook up with girls and they really not think about a serious relationship…You already know that he will have difficulty remembering your name in the morning!

-Online dating: Many people get involved with online dating because they are frustrated with their dating life. They want to meet interesting people and they want to meet them now!I i sincerely don’t think this is the best way to meet “the man of my life ” and you should be careful of the people you talk to in these online dating sites. News stories have already reported before cases of those who went missing or were killed when they decided to meet with the people they talk to online. But anyway some people say is really great. And as long as you are safe and smart about it, it can open you up to so many new people and experiences. You may not find the love of your life, but you might find a whole new group of friends!

-School: Not only can you get an education but you can find that perfect someone perhaps sitting right next to you!But remember to not distract yourself from the lession!Paying attention to a boy and chatting with him is not going to give you the focus you need to stay on top of the class.Especially remember do not play “the dumb” when you’re around him!!I mean, let’s make an example : do NOT ask him how to do a math problem if you have NO problem in math! This will not only get you trouble! Ever see “Mean Girls”? The guy wasn’t too impressed when she pretended to suck at math so he’d help her!

- Gym: The gym is a great place to meet single men, specially the hot men! I love that “meeting a guy at a gym” is always suggested. But I always think that would be weird.Mostly because i’m sweaty at the gym and so I will not look at my best!

In conclusion,I believe the best way to meet someone is when you least expect it. Join things that you enjoy doing, if you like sports join a team, if you like art join a night class. But do NOT join in hopes of meeting someone, do these things because YOU enjoy doing them and then maybe along the way you’ll “bump” into someone who enjoys the things you do and you never know, it could turn into a relationship!Just remember that going on a date does not necessarily mean this is going to lead to anything else.If you are not satisfied on how is going your first date you can say bye bye to him right after. However, You have all your life to find that special someone so RELAX yourself and please do NOT jump into a relationship if you’re not into him!Or your will end up with a guy who disappoints you!!If we’ve learned anything from the ladies on Sex and the City over the years, it’s this: Meeting a man can happen anytime, anyplace.
Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous. -Sex & The City

What you think about the list?Any other suggestions on the list? If you are not single, where did you meet your boyfriend/girlfriend?
The new music video by Jennifer Lopez performing Papi.
Jennifer Lopez drives the boys wild in the action-packed video for “Papi,” the RedOne-produced single off this year’s LOVE? The unsuspecting superstar races through the streets of downtown Los Angeles in her Fiat as suitors break their necks to get a glimpse of her, getting into fights, leaping off buildings, and even crashing their vehicles. The chaotic scene transforms into a flash mob of dancers, who perform choreographed moves as all hell breaks loose. Watch Jenny cause a riot on the block.
-Isn’t weird to watch Jennifer Lopez wearing sneakers??
-Only JLo could look cool driving a Fiat 500
-And does she need some biscuits to attract a man??Really JLo?I mean…!!
JLo may be 42 YEARS OLD but she still know how to moves her body!
What you guys think??
AN AMERICAN CLASSIC SONG:
“Be a Star” from Life-Size starring Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks
In case you haven’t seen it – which you definitely should –Lindsay Lohan plays a little lonely girl who recently lost her mom and accidentally brings a doll to life!I love this movie, it is so adorable and how cute is Lindsay Lohan? The acting by Lindsay as the emotionally disconnected tomboy dealing with loss was really good .She was, as always, a stupendous actress, with the wit, timing, and charm of a much more experienced actress. And Tyra Banks also did a fine job ,she was really funny and looks great in every scene (if Tyra Banks is not the most beautiful woman in the world, she certainly comes close!!). There is nothing better when i’m feeling down then to know I can sit down and relax to a good old disney movie!I think everybody likes a good old disney movies because it’s a time of reliving the innocence times of our lives. …as well as forgetting what’s going on in our real lives!!So in conclusion, I love Life-Size,it makes me want to show off my hundred-watt smile! LOL And it makes me feel less alone ..let’s say it’s one of my favorite movie to watch while I’m depressed.Sure it is not one of the critically acclaimed year’s best made-for-TV films but it’s a fun and enjoyable film which I could probably watch over and over again several times!Plus it teaches us so many life-changing lessons. Be yourself, live your life to the fullest, remember those things that are important, and love who you are!!
So what’s your favorite disney movie of all time? What lessons or morals do disney movies teached you?
… I wonder if there are others like me who watch disney movies while depressed :)
Oh,If you know of a great Disney movie that I may not have seen, please leave a comment and give me your ideas. I would really appreciate it. ;)
Be A Star:
Eve’s great, no matter where she goes Shine bright, shine bright Where you live, where you are Shine bright, shine far
Dress her up from her head to her toes
On the town, at the ball
Eve loves high fashion
After dark at the club
She’ll spend the whole night dancing
Don’t be shy, be a star
Where you live, where you are
Shout it out, be a star
Shine bright, shine far
Be a star
Be a star
Shine bright, shine bright,
Don’t be shy, be a star
Where you live, where you are
Be a star
Be a star
Where you live, where you are
Be a star
Shine bright, shine far
Don’t be shy, be a star
Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
“Fools,” said I, “you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said “The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence

Beyonce Honors 9/11
Americans and the world remember the horrific events that occurred ten years ago on September 11, 2011, one of the biggest pop stars on the planet’s voice has become somewhat of an anthem of remembrance and pushing ahead.
Beyonce‘s “I Was Here,” which originally was released on her recent album 4, was used as the backing song to a gripping ABC News video showing the memorials, tributes and landmarks of the September 11 terror attacks. The song, with lyrics like “When I leave this world I leave no regrets, leave something to remember so they won’t forget: I was here. I lived, I loved, I was here,” is sung behind images of mourning family members and others at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa.
We are still 10 years later trying to still win the war on terror. What we did?We invaded two countries at a cost of thousands of lives .10 years, trillions of tax dollars and 6,000 servicemen later, America killed one guy. Bravo. So now what? Did we win the war on terror? Will they close Guantanamo? Will they leave Afghanistan? Will Al-Qaeda say “Well, I guess they won” and go home? Of course not. I’d be glad to celebrate the death of terrorism, but not the death of one man. There are none who go unwounded in war. We have sacrificed our principles to gain a very thin illusion of protection and stability.
Hopefully, this last decade can lead to a more sophisticated dialogues about the nation’s future and values.
Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity .
